The AFA can only guarantee us Union dues and years of contract negotiations.
We know what we need. The AFA does not.
What does an “Authorization” Card Do?
By filling out and signing the representative authorization card, we (Avelo Airlines flight attendants) are indicating that we are not interested in being represented by the AFA Union and would like to formally hold a vote through an election. Once we, Avelo4Us, have collected signed representative authorization cards from at least 50 percent of our flight attendants, we can petition the National Mediation Board to hold a secret ballot election to vote out the AFA! This is our opportunity to speak with our vote!
Why Remove the AFA?
We want to create a true “One Crew” culture at Avelo. Direct dialogue with the company beats third-party representation.
